Privacy policy

Last updated 6 November 2026

The Last Foundry is made by Wild Instinct Studio, a solo developer. The game can send anonymous gameplay data, but only if you say yes. This page explains what that data is and what you can do about it.

The short version

What we collect if you choose Share

Nothing is collected before you choose, and nothing is collected if you choose No thanks.

Why

To see how far players get, where they stop, and whether the crafting is fun, so the game can get better. The numbers are looked at together, across all players, not person by person.

Who handles the data

The data is processed for us by GameAnalytics, an analytics service for games. It is stored under the random device identifier, not under your name or Steam account. We don't share it with anyone else. You can read GameAnalytics' privacy notice for how they handle data.

How long it's kept

GameAnalytics keeps detailed event data for up to 12 months. After that it is deleted or anonymized, so only overall totals remain.

Your choices

Steam

The game is sold and launched through Steam. Valve collects its own data under the Steam Privacy Policy. That is separate from this page, and we don't receive your Steam account details through the analytics.

Children

The game is not directed at children under 16, and we don't knowingly collect data from them.

Changes

If the game ever starts collecting different data, we'll update this page and the game will ask you again before anything new is sent.
